Mom and Joni

Mom, godmom and Joni

The baptism has started!

Joni was baptized at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Still River Mass. She was baptized in the tradition baptism. It was amazing to be a part of a traditional baptism.

Going into the church!

During this exorcism Joni started coughing like she was getting rid of anything unclean. Let me tell you it was amazingly power to witness.

Joni was really calm as the water blessing was happening. She was half asleep but not totally.

A reborn child of God. Happy reBirthday Joni!!!

The god family even our god son joined in the on the picture. What a beautiful evening and a blessing to be a part of.

God Bless you Joan Marie!!

The reception was at the Niall house and was very joyful!

Children played! and fought in James and Leo's case!! You know you have a best buddy when you can't wait to see someone and then fight with them most of the time you are together.

Ladies chatted!

God sisters bonded!

Boys played some more, crashing is fun!

Men discussed and philosophized!

While children ran around them!

Some women joined the men.

Then Mr. Niall decided to lighten the mood and wrestling the children. Mr. Niall is always good for getting the children before they have to go to bed.

I believe that fun was had by everyone!!

Fun with a friend

Preparing for Lent and just plain having fun with friends.

Making the last super craft but the only on really interested is James. Adriana and Eli just want to play.
What does a dino have as a snack?  Looks like crackers fruits and veggies, yummy!!

Crafting in dress up clothes

Lesson learned don't do a craft on a Friday afternoon with children.  They have way to much energy to sit for a long time.

Children Prepare for Lent

Small Things Done With Love

How do we use our bean jars? Whenever the children do something they are supposed to without complaining, they do something generous and any small deed done with love then get to put a bean into the jar with their name on it. At the end of Lent their beans will be replaced with M&M candies. Promise to show the end results. :)

Adriana and James coloring in their Stations of the Cross to go unto there lapbooks.

What is in the lapbook?
A count down to Easter 40 days, all the Sunday's in lent and we also added the Feast days. We try to remember to color our block every day. The stations of the cross to be used on Friday and a list of the children's pluses and minuses of lent. Adriana and James gave up movies for lent and they will be adding a weekly Stations of the Cross and mass. The lapbooks are under out basket on the kitchen table.

Yes young children can to lent too!!!

Adventures in Funland

The Niall Family went to see "Pinocchio's Adventures in Funland" composed by Michael Gandoldi. It is for the young and those who remember their childhood. It was our first family concert and the best type because it was especially for children. They also got to meet the instruments.

Interdicting the instruments

Our First God Daughter

Our good friends the Urbans had their baby Joan Marie.

They dropped there boys off at our house early this morning and continued on to deliver there baby.

The boys toward the end off their stay getting restless wrestling. They had fun fighting and sometimes getting along watching a movie!!

The announcement soon came: It's a GIRL!!!
We made cards for baby Joni and then an art project. Each child string peas through a spaghetti. We cooked the spaghetti the glued each string of spaghetti onto the "Welcome to the World Joni" sign. Between each string of spaghetti there were hard carrots and cross at the end. The children who could sign. "it's the rosary. It was fun to make and exciting to give.

When Ben and Rebecca came to pick up Leo and Jules she asked us to be the god parents of Joni. Our first god daughter so exciting. Of course we said 'yes,' now we have a beautiful god daughter.

Our first meeting of Joni at about 6 hours old!

Saint Valentine

Happy St. Valentine's Day

Patron of Love, Young People, Happy Marriages

Saint Valentine was a priest who served during third century Rome. There was an Emperor at that time by the name of Claudius II. Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those that were married. With this thought in mind he outlawed marriage for young men in hopes of building a stronger military base. St. Valentine decided this decree just wasn't fair and chose to marry young couples secretly. When Emperor Claudius II found out about Valentine's actions he had him put to death.
