Apple Picking with Guardian Angels

Apple Picking at Berlin Orchard with all Guardian Angels Club
The Little Boys and Girls plus the Big Boys and Girls clubs had a great time apple picking today. The Beirne Family really made our group feel welcome. I think the moms and Jarrett Connor (the only dad on the scene) had as much fun as the children. We started off with the children playing in the "Crooked House" and posing behind the John Appleseed and the apple tree. Next we went picking, then we had cookies and cider, and finally back to the the Crooked House, posing picture, and feeding the animals. Thanks Mr. Bernie for giving the children grain to feed the animals. Check all the pictures from trip below.

The Family we left behind
Accidental we left the orchard without one family. We found them when they walked up the hill from the orchard. Sorry Jarrett and girls.

Brianna's in the house.
Sorry if I didn't get pictures of everyone especially the Big Boys. They were playing football and I am not sure what they were doing in the orchard. But I had fun with the picture I did get. Enjoy!

Thank you Gerard, Shelia, and Family

Adriana is learning to read. It is a very slow process but it is happening. It is really cute to watch her but sometimes frustrating for both of us. She wants to guess the words instead of reading them. I hear from other homeschooling moms that is common. She just gets tired of trying, frustrated and bored. We are taking it slow and hopefully by the end of the school year she will be rocking with her reading.

Ribbon Cutting

Yes our business has been around for almost two years but we are trying to expand. We joined the Chamber of Commerce a few months ago and had a Ribbon Cutting today. This will help to get the word out about our business. We had a few friends join us and the Chamber also invited people. Thank you to The Kelly's, Murphy's and Houghman's for coming to support us.

The Chamber is on a back street in Clinton it is a really cute building. See it below.

We weren't sure how many people to expect so we had quit a spread from meatballs to cheese and crackers. We also enjoyed some wine.

James and Robert are a about a month and half apart. Robert is older. As soon as James saw Robert he started laughing and headed right for him, then he climbed up and started playing with him. It was so cute.

Even the older children seemed to find some fun. Although you can't see it their is and Aflax Goose under the children. They are playing on it.
Sibling tub-of-war, who do you think won?

Saying Mama

I know it is over the top. James is not even 7 months yet and already he is saying "Mama." I'm sure you are thinking that babies say things like that all the time. This baby will say mama and mean it. How do I know. Well when he says mama he will follow me around the kitchen. Or daddy will be holding him and he'll want mama. The other day I went for an errand and when I came back Michael said James started to say "Mama, then started to cry because I wasn't aroung." It really isn't my imagination. I thought it was at first but it has happened far to many times. In this short clip you can hear James calling for Mama and then get really excited once he climbs in my lap.
