On the Sixth Day of Christmas

We went to the Wedding Vow Renewal of our good friends Andreas and Michelle Widmer-Schultz. They have been married for 20 years!!!

This is a special gift that our children can't yet appreciate but we truly do appreciate. In this day and age 20 years of marriage is a great accomplishment!

20 years of marriage and a 6 year old Elias to help them celebrate!

Vow renewal and blessing. A great testament to many and I'm sure many graces bestowed on them two of you!

Congratulations once again to Andreas and Michelle! Speech!

A quiz was taken and scored by the family below. We did not win although we were in the top group. Our good friends the Dooley's won the quiz "How well do you know the Widmer's"!!

Beautiful cake made for the Widmer's later added Elias and their dog! Another symbol of their 20 years married!

Socializing with friends!!!

The lovely couple!

Other lovely couples! No biases here!!!

Good Friends together!

There was a table for the children to do activities! A gingerbread notebook. And the children just had plain fun romping around the hall!

Adriana saying goodnight to Mr. Widmer!

Instant friends!!! I love the purity of some childhood friendships!

And the pure love of babies, Michelle's brother-in-law had no idea I was watching him googling over Thomas.

On the Fifth Day of Christmas

We had fun putting together and decorating a Gingerbread train! And the children also got to open 2 gifts!

Before dinner we started to build the train!

We decided to build a train because we will be going to Edaville Railroad on Sunday. A fun way to prepare for the day!
Waiting for daddy to come, Adriana and James steadily worked on decorating the train.

As hard as it was for Mama, she let them decorate the train any way they wanted. She did not dictate are try to influence the outcome of the train.

She realized it would be pretty however they made it and it was!

Adriana received two craft kits and James received two sets of Cars automobiles.

On the Third Day of Christmas

We hosted the Niall family Christmas get together!

It was an enjoyable night and dinner.
On the menu :
Appetizer: Yummy scallops wrapped in bacon - compliments of David and Linda Niall
Dinner: Ham, green beans and squash - yummy squash compliments of Pete and Diana Niall
Desert: the easy to make and addictive Bark.

Thomas was getting some attention from the Niall Family!

All the Niall boys and their mom haven't been all together at one time in a few years so we decided it would be a good idea to have them over. Adriana and James love to entertain their family members and Thomas is entertaining without even trying. It is always funny to hear old Niall Family stories and watch aunts and uncles playing with the children. This was the first time Thomas met his Uncle David and Auntie Linda. One of the fun things about the blog and facebook is that even though we haven't seen each other we can see what is happening.

Adriana was enjoying time with Auntie Linda!!

Mémère and the children exchanged gifts. Mémère cried tears of joy at the Cooperstown baseball book she got from James! She love baseball! Adriana and James got really neat baskets full of toys (cars for James and ponies and dolls for Adriana), very creative.

Playing with toys from Mémère, what fun!

Hugs of Thanks for Mémère!!!

The children love their Uncle Gary! They say good bye to Uncle Gary who lives in New Jersey and they won't see again for a while!
